Hello all, I finally recieved my interview date for my CR-1 Visa. My interview will take place on July 22nd. I just wanted to know when can my wife get her medical, do we have to wait for Packet 4 like I did when I filed for my K-1?

I also wanted to know how long it takes for the actual visa to be shipped to my wifes home.

Vintage,

Your wife can start making her medical appointment now. The NVC will also send you a copy of her appointment letter, so if she doesn't receive it, you can scan her a copy so she can have it ready should she need it.

If she lives in Bogotá, it will take between 2-3 business days for DOMESA to deliver it. If she lives outside of Bogotá it will take between 6-10 business days.

Your wife can get her medical anytime before the interview, make sure she makes her appointment in time. As for the packet, you dont have to wait you can download most of the paperwork from the embassy website. My wife never received the packet by mail, I called the emabassy and they told me to download them. Once she gets her visa approved it takes about 5 to 7 days to arrive.
