Well, lets see.. there's no consulate specific info for the Monrovia embassy on VJ, but most consulates will require the following:

- A police certificate from every country the beneficiary has lived

- A court certificate from the city where the beneficiary was born

- A singlehood certificate from the benificiary's local government

- DS 156 form

- DS 156k form

- DS 157 form

- DS 230 form

- I 134 affidavit of support

The DS forms can be found at the following site : http://www.state.gov/m/a/dir/forms/visa/index.htm

This is just a standard list of what most consulates ask for, you will certainly need a police and court certificate, you can go to your local police station and find out how to obtain them.. You probably won't be able to get an appointment at the doctor for your medical until you actually have your interview letter in hand. Packet 3 will contain a list of doctors you can go to, it's also on the Monrovia embassy's website.

Good luck on your journey

Sarah

ya, DS-230 part I plus the other stuff sqeaky mentions.

re: forms list - here is Guangzhou ;)http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

Monrovia is similar, but no clue if any Monrovia-specific forms or versions of forms.

re: waiting for NVC - for K-1 visa, not need wait for NVC - is quick whip-thru, usually - 1 to 3 weeks if namechecks are ok.

But it IS good idea to call NVC, get the casefile # for Monrovia, inquire for when it left NVC on it's way to Monrovia

and then

call DOS Hotline (# in my profile) and inquire on further case status.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
