I-129F from abroad

Hi All,

I moved to the UK from the USA 5 years ago for work. I started dating my fiancee about 4 years ago. I have been transfered back to the US for work and have to go on July 19th. I want my fiancee to join me as soon as possible so I want to file an I-129F form ASAP. Can I file it while I still live here in the UK?

Also, I was curious as to what qualifies as proof. We own our home together and I have mortgage statements and statements from the management company with both our names on it. I have a water bill with both our names on it. I also have a few pictures of us together is that enough?

Thanks

Since you are already living abroad, there might be better alternatives for you than K-1

Check out ALL your options below. (I'm thinking: get married in the UK and file DCF or another route, since you will have to marry within 90 days of arrival with a K-1 anyway) It also might save you a boatload of money and time!

If you have met face 2 face ( obviously you have ) in the last 2 years and are free to marry you are free to file. DO you have a US address for your notices ? Maybe a PO box ? You can do a change of address after filing if not.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
