Dublin - Average Processing Time for K1?

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can find information on average processing times when applying for a K-1 Fiance Visa through the Dublin consulate? We are trying to figure out how long to expect to wait but from my research I've heard some say it can take as little as 4 months, where as other sources say to expect it to take around 9 months.

Actually, I should clarify. If you take away the time we could have moved faster the entire process from start to US entry took about 8-9 months. Just the Dublin part of the process took 2 months. Sorry, after I re-read your question I decided I had misunderstood.

We sent in our K-1 Petition on Sept. 5, 2008 and got our NOA 2 on Dec. 18, 2008. Interview was on March 19, 2009 and was approved. Then another week to receive the visa in the post. Then he got to the USA on May 12th 2008.

So 9 months to get to the US and have the ceremony.

It just means that the barcode on your petition has been swiped. It can simply mean that your file was just moved from one filing cabinet to another or something bigger like it's being looked over.
