we are wondering how much time the NVC shortcuts save?

Hello,

Could you please post how long your case took and if you used the shortcuts or not?

Thank you

It may not be applicable to timelines at this point but we were through NVC in 19 days last year. We had all of our documents and forms ready, called NVC constantly to update our status, paid our fees as soon as they were available and in our case both fees were registering as paid within 24 hours. Our DS-230 and I-864 Packages were sent out together and case was completed within 6 days. While you cannot control the speed at which NVC processes your package having all forms and documents ready to go is a big help. Good luck!

I agree with what OBX said. If you fill out your forms correctly and do everything properly than you might have a speedy process through NVC, but it also depends on them as well. You can see from my time line that we were done in 33 days, but we had no RFE and such. Goodluck through the process :star:

I believe most people here will tell you that there is no standard!

But....you can only help your case and yourself if you prepare as much in advance as possible. Look to the shortcuts!

They will save you time....No one can calculate how much because each case is different.

Make absolutely sure you have filled out everything correctly..go back thru several times. We found stupid little mistakes after passing them over 4-5 times.

We are very thankful for the helpful information here at VJ. Read...re-read....and re-read again!

Our USCIS process was 52 days from NOA1 and our NVC case was 24 days from case # assigned!

Used every shortcut we could find. We were very proactive with everything!

No way to quantify but we know in our hearts it is because of God and our time spent here at Visa Journey!

Good luck on the process!

We used both James' and LingChe's shortcuts for our journey.

Our time frame was 67 days through USCIS

69 days through NVC (1 RFE that delayed us a good week)*hubby didn't send original Arabic birth certificate! GRRR*

and we had 208 days between our first NOA and the interview.
