WHY IS CSC STILL TOUCHING ME.

This is an unwanted attention, csc can be a bad news sometimes. I've already been approved and my case should be at the embassy right now. So why the touch, CSC? What are you up to? i was touched on aug. 8. I hope you are only approving our AOS in advance, if not HANDS OFF !!! LOL :lol:

How do you know your case is at the embassy already? Have you received your letter from NVC?

It is my understanding that the cases are sent in groups (perhaps once a week, but I don't know for sure). The last "touch" was probably when CSC sent the case off to NVC.

Our case took a couple weeks to get to and leave NVC.

I got 2 touches so far after NVC *recieved* my petition... not sure what it's about, but one of them happened after I called NVC to see if they had our case yet. Also, when speaking to NVC, I asked when they recieved it, guy said not sure when we *recieved* it, but it was sent July 26, well I didn't get notice (email) til Aug 1 that it was approved on July 31. I then recieved snail mail NOA2 on Aug 7 (maybe), then I got NVC notice in yesterday's mail... it's all good!

Hope this dang bomb attempt in UK doesn't screw us all up now :(

Jan 8, 2007 - applied for SSN

Jan 15, 2007 - recieved SSN

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

Feb 8, 2007 - NOA1 on AOS/EAD/AP

Feb 14, 07 - touched EAD/AP

March 8, 07 - Biometrics appt in NOLA

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved

The post-approval touching is either related to the handoffs or the inquiries, IMO:

I was touched on 7/28 and received email notice of approval on 7/31.

When I phoned the NVC about our case on 8/4, they said that they had received it that day but that the actual approval date was 7/27. (When I received the snail mail copy of the NOA2, it confirmed that the approval WAS on 7/27)

I phoned the NVC again on Monday 8/7 and they said that they mailed it that day to Frankfurt. I am expecting it to be there by tomorrow. David is going to phone on Monday to confirm. When I checked my case status yesterday, I had received a touch on 8/7. The touch could have been related to the hand-off or the phone call I made. Perhaps the NVC's inquiry into my case created the touch...?

I called NVC and they gave me my case# and told me that my petition was sent on Aug.4, 2006. I called three times and 3 different individuals told me the same thing. SENT !!! By the way, good luck on your interview tommorrow !!!

That just doesn't make sense. Have you phoned USCIS to see whether they know if it's been physically sent or not? Yeah, I know... but it might be worth a try if you haven't already....
