- Called July 6, 2010 Got case number and gave email address (Operator said case arrived July 2)

- Received two emails with DS3032 and AOS bill payment July 8, 2010

- Email DS3032 July 8, 2010 (Did not receive auto response)

- Sent payment online AOS bill July 9, 2010

- Sent payment online IV fee bill July 14, 2010

- Received IV instruction packet July 16, 2010

- AOS and IV packet delivered at NVC, July 30, 2010

Whats new in the week so far.

Bextavaz got his interview date for his son.any updates so far that I missed?

You are right March2010.because of some unscientific reason NVC is taking long to complete the case.I think they are overloaded with documents this summer.So hang in there may be we will all get to hear the same word "CC" at same time :)

I am not sure how I got that number of days, but I still think that is how long it takes from docs received to SIF. So, I take back my 22 day statement. :blush:

Cool msd!!!! You are soooooooooooo close that even I can almost taste it! I really hope that you make it for August interviews!!!!!!! I know you don't know me from the March thread but if you do make it, I will force you to hold my hand and spin around in circles while dancing like giddy little school girls (just ask March2010...who is not a girl) :rofl:.

If I really make it for August I might just do that for real!! :whistle:

Based on my unscientific observation of others' experiences, I am estimating 22 calendar days from All Docs received to case completed at NVC. Let's see how long yours takes.

Oh do I hope you're right.

The AVR was updated today and says they are awaiting the return of my DS-230 package. Dear NVC the package is in your mailroom, you just have to dig it out! :P

Here's to hoping the review will not take like 4 weeks as for some other people. :S

Um, what kind of questions do they ask sons at the interview? Do you have to prove it is an ongoing relationship with your parent? That the relationship wasn't gone into with immgration as the end goal? :rofl:

Seriously, wish you the best of luck! It must have been hard to be away from family for that long, not knowing when you will get out of the holding pattern.

I think it will help that I am the only person in my family that doesn't live in the USA... Mum, Dad and Sis are all over there... and well, I'm the last duck to head over...

Considering they have my birth cert, deed poll (name change) and my mum filed the AOS and petition, I don't really see what else I could possibly provide that would prove I am my mother's son...

Nor can I find anyone else in a similar interview situation as me that I can find any further information from hahah! Like you said, its not like my mum had me 27 years ago with the intention of getting me into the USA :lol: :lol:

We have a similiar case.. my mom left a long time ago and I am the only son here. I have two sisters and one brother but they all were born in USA...

The USCIS requested us a DNA test and I think there's nothing more to prove it than that.

Congrats to all of those with good news!

Don't worry Totosan! It is nerve wracking but the time in between let's you relax and get ready for the next hurdle. Right now I am relaxing. I know that once I get the paper sitch all worked out from my husband, I will be wiggin out again. Or if I get good news from my possible AOSer. Right now I know I have to wait so no freaking out for me. You should be all set to sail through the NVC pretty soon! Yay!

hey guys i have a question... how u guys are getting ur case number after uscis approves petition.???

u call NVC auto mated system OR one has to speak to live agent to get case nunmber? please let me know thanks.

June 23rd my case was approved and in automated system its not available in NVC .

should i speak to live person at NVC to get case number?

Waiter- The voice should give you your case number. It takes around 7 days (which would mean that tomorrow the NVC should have your case) to have it updated. If it isn't there tommorow you could always try the live person but I think USCIS tells you that you have to wait "X amount of days" for your case to be there. Good luck.
