Was told by nvc tonight that they sent everything to the embassy in manila. Hopefully that means our expedite got approved.

I have seen where you stated you put in for an expedited Visa. I thought they only did this if there was some sort of an emergency situation. Am I wrong?

I just called the NVC. I went through the phone AVR and after entering my WAC # it said I was not in the system. Okay I guess thats right because I was only approved on the 14th. So my question is, can I count on the AVR and just keep checking it for a case number. Then after 2 weeks of waiting speak to an operator. I see in LingChe's Shortcut is said it could be scanned but not in the system. SO when do I opt to speak to an operator? I dont want to waste their or my time unless there is some hope of getting what I need. :blush: I figure I am a bit early expecting a Case Number so soon.

Wanted to tell everyone here that NVC FINALLY sent our case on to Jordan yesterday for our interview on Aug 24. Seems s little slow... but so is the whole process! :dance: :dance: :dance:

TomD, I agree with OBX. The AVR lags. Right now, my AVR still says the IV fee was received but I'm well beyond that. So I really think its a good idea to call regularly if you are expecting actions done on your case, especially nowadays when they are a bit slower than what I've read on previous months....

Sometimes if I have nothing else to say to the operator I just kinda ask them for guidance (just to be able to say something) on what the next step is. A good operator will give you detailed info while drones will tell you to read the web.

As for my expedite, I'm actually confused now as to what I will wait for or who to contact. I'll try to call NVC on Monday and the US embassy in Manila as well to clarify. I did post in our March USCIS filers thread about why I was doing an expedite. Obviously USCIS had deaf ears about that and thankfully/hopefully, the NVC/Embassy is hearing me out now... We'll see... Sorry dont know of it. I am a transplant from the West Coast (CA/OR)and dont know places here like I did out west. Now that I am here in the SE, most of the water here has been tamed and is in my view dirty..I am getting over it though.haha... Over all I am happy here and enjoy the slower pace.

We are doing a 30 mile paddle on the Green River and will camp out at about the 15-20 mile mark. Its about 100 miles away from the house but it will be fun and better than sitting on the couch. Which I do plenty enough of... I am also damn near 60 so my white water are few and few. Fast water is great fun and will excite even the most lethargic of people... Yehaa Sounds like you had fun though. :dance::lol:
