Sachinky, you sure about this? I re-read the shortcuts and they mention not to pay when there's no IV invoice yet. What's there to pay when there's no invoice? I am thinking its a computer glitch....

Don't get me wrong, I would love to pay it now and would do so if you are certain about this. thanks

Eh, me and a lot of folks who went through NVC during the same time, paid before the official IV invoice came in. No issues, at all. I hated the idea of waiting around for NVC to get their act together. I paid my bill as soon as it showed up as 'AVAILABLE TO BE PAID.' By the time my bill cleared -- in about 36 hours -- the invoice was already in my inbox.

That 'warning' is there on the LingChe because about a year ago a few folks had an issue if they paid it earlier. Wasn't a big deal, they just had to call NVC and confirm with an operator that the bill had gone through.

Technically, the bill wouldn't have become 'available to be paid' UNLESS it had been invoiced, post-DS3032 acceptance.

It's your choice, really. If you don't mind a couple of days waiting, then it's fine. I'm sure you'll receive the email soon enough.

And we never even got an invoice for the IV bill. Not even after a week when my husband paid it and it was still in progress. Just saying.

I think you should pay it too.

I know Teya didn't wait for the invoice either and her bill cleared very fast.

she told me that my 3032 has not been approved yet. What?! I got an email last night! apparently, its only received, not approved. So, it took 5business days just to say my 3032 email was received.

Are you absolutely sure it's not approved? Because the recieved-response is automatic and should definitely not take 5 days to get to you via email.

This is what the mail says when they accept your choice of agent form:

"

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the

NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will

expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents

will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration

process."

MSD,sorry to hear about your RFE. Pls let us know though what the issue was with the photos, if it's okay? I will only be submittng 2 as well, since that's what is stated on the NVC website. On the contrary, I did see some VJ threads where they mentioned sending 4 copies... don't know if it was overkill or just covering all bases...

I didn't get an RFE. Nica did.

;)

I was just being paranoid and wanted to know if I'd get notified too or only my husband. ^^

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.

My AOS fee says IN PROCESS. The payment status of IV fee says NOT PAID. (doesn't even say available to be paid).

BUT, I went ahead and paid it. I figured, if the system won't allow it, then that small box you tick for selecting payment would still be in "ghost" mode.

And YES, I paid 404$.

Ok, so now all I have to do is wait for both the 864 and IV instructions, then mail and wait!! Thank you sooooo much guys.... I love VJ!

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Did the photos not fir the criteria or did you forget to send them?

I'm starting to worry because we "only" sent two. Well that's the number they want but you never know with NVC. Argh...

It was our lawyer who filed the whole packet, he says that he did send the photos but according to NVC they were "missing" so it's a mystery lol, I really don't know if they got lost, or were never sent. And yes as far as everything I have read they want 2, the RFE letter said "Two identical front-view color photographs.."
