great point March... I've already been working on this process for 4 months and I still get sucked into periods of confusion.... I think from now on I'll really just stick to Lingche, James and the july 2010 nvc thread....

triaxxx- I sent out the DS3032 from my husband's e-mail :P. I was worried that it wouldn't work but it did. No worries. Be aware to check her e-mail often though because they send the same information to her e-mail as yours. In my case, the sent something to his e-mail and not to mine. They sent me the bills (woo hoo!) and him the IV instructions packet.

I think it is better to just ask questions instead of getting dinged for something that could've been avoided.

Best of luck to everyone!

Woooo the NVC recieved our documents!

When the AVR says this, it DOES mean that both the AOS and the DS-230 are in the system right?

Just making sure cause we sent the DS-230 a week later than the AoS.

I hope things are going well for all of you too!

hello friends...

I have'nt received anything from NVC....no ds 3032 and no bill. looks like they are backed up or perhaps staff is on summer vacation.ahhhhhhhhh

Hey Waiter, pls update your timeline. I think we are separated by a day with regards to our timeline. Yeah, 'til now now AOS fee.

Got my first potential hiccup, just realized I don't have a tax transcript for 2009. I thought my printout from Turbotax would suffice. Some threads say its unacceptable. By the way, did you guys actually request for a "tax return which costs $57" at IRS and may take 60days or just submit a transcript for the most recent tax year. On reading the AOS form, it seems like its asking for the tax return of the most current year, then transcripts for the next 2 years.

I called in and requested for a transcript on the automated systed.

Sorry guys, I was just now able to speak with an IRS rep. I asked if she can speed up the delivery of the transcript. She will fax it today! :) Anyone know if this is acceptable to the NVC? thanks.

Hello Teya, just a shout out. Saw your name on users currently browsing. Thanks for all your help. How are your papers coming along?

Hello triaxxx! You can have the transcripts faxed to you, no problem! As long as it says that it is a "Tax Transcript" from the IRS, the NVC should be fine with it because other people have send those in. I think you can do that for the last 3 years. I have read the I-864 a bunch and now you have me confused. Let me go see what I can gather from it:

"You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photo copy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years."

So it looks like you can just send in transcripts for all 3 years. I'm sure that people have been doing and have been just fine.

AS for my papers, they aren't going anywhere just yet :P. I will hopefully have some good news from my husband next week about his papers. As for my AOSer, the transcripts seem to have been misplaced in the house and are being looked for right now.

Like TeyaValentina said tax transcripts are the best--they're free and they can be faxed to you (if they aren't too long)! NVC definitely takes them so I hope you got them for all 3 years.

I need you people's opinion on something:

Just realized that I've been gathering proof of constant communication without even realizing. :D I tend to take snapshots of the screen when my husband and I are on Video-Skype. It shows my husband in a big video and myself in a smaller box.

So I'm going to pick out a few and print them aswell to go with the Skype transcrips that show when we were talking. Or maybe just put it in my picture album. Not sure yet.

However as it's really really hot where he is, a lot of his pictures are him without a shirt on. Would it seem inaproppriate if I put those in the file? I have a few in there already with us in bathing suits and one where we are hiking and he doesn't have a shirt on.

If it helps the decision, he is really well toned and doesn't have the slightest hint of a beer belly.

Naw, seriously. What do you think?

Also, he is heavily tattooed and you can see it on the picture. Also a negative? I have no idea about Embassy people's views on that...

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.

My opinion MSD is that is YOUR husband and you are just compiling proof for this crazy process so if you're comfortable with it, who are they to think it inappropriate.

As I was going through my evidence, there were some instant message logs that I had to remove because they were a bit, ahem, risque, but I don't see anything wrong with a screen shot without a shirt, especially for Austria. Now if it were a different country, maybe I'd think differently.

Sounds good msd! Just maybe not have those in front as if you were showcasing your husband's physique :P. I think it is better that he is shirtless in the pic than you. :P. Guys can get away with a bunch more things than us ladies. All of this is assuming that the CO will even look at your evidence. They might just smile and forget that they were going to check it and send you on your merry way (hopefully).
