Wow, looks like I missed some entertainment whilst I was off the radar... This thread needs more good news, even though I imagine NVC would be closed for the National Fireworks Day :P

I have my medical Wednesday, I've already started packing and selling my entire Australian life... It's really weird to do it... But bring it on :)

One step closer! I bet it is weird - to sell almost everything, and take off. Don't know if I could be that brave. Maybe when I was younger :yes:

Hahaha, yeah... I just don't see any reason to prove anything... Why would she petition for me (and AOS) if there was no relationship haha!

Ah well, I'm on the countdown now... Flights are booked for my interview, and then the day after my interview I'm hoping to book my US flights...

I had my performance review at work the other day and the boss mentioned 'if you ever left, we'd be devastated'... Sounds like I'll be breaking hearts in the next month or so, I've done so well at keeping it all covered up haha... They already know that ultimately it's my plan (I told them when I was interviewing for the position 3.5 years ago and they still hired me), just not how close it is...

It's all so exciting to finally be at this stage, but it's such a rollercoaster of emotions going from excited to sad that ur essentially leaving an entire past behind...

1. The IIN will be enclosed with the AOS/DS3032 email that NVC will send you.

2. Yes, beneficiaries from the Philippines may complete their medical at St. Luke's once their NVC case # has been assigned.

sachinky - some members told me also that fil beneficiaries may do their medical ahead of time just present their NVC case#..but it depends how long it will the papers process from NVC..coz i think the medical has effectivity due date am i right?..Some fil said it may be advisable to wait for appointment letter from NVC/US embassy.. maybe some filipino beneficiaries that already gone thru with these process may suggest to those who will be undergo to this...thanks

The medical is valid for 6 months, I believe. I agree, it is best to complete it closer to the interview. However, for Filipinos, it is recommended that they do it early since the dreaded sputum test often comes up.
