Hello Everyone:)

Well i was wondering for sometime now:-

1)can we just have the I-864,DS-3032,and DS-230 out of the NVC site or so and fill them out waiting till the case it done and sent to the NVC for processing, and then we send them in the order they should be sent,or do we have to wait for them to send us each of those, like do they have some numbering to them(like whoever's case is assigned a number that is printed on the I-864 form sent to them or so,and they can ONLY fill that form)does anyone know what i mean?!

2)how can we get prepared now,if something like the police certificate is valid for 3 months,so if we got it now to have it translated,we don't know when our case is to be done at USCIS,so if i got it now,and by the time it's done and got to NVC,the police certificates would be expired or almost expired!....

3)how do we know if Egypt falls under Standard processing or Appointment Post processing,or it depends on cases?and how do we know that?we call NVC once they get our case?..

Thanks to you all:)

I hope I can answer your questions...

1) The DS-3032 is the choice of agent and address that the beneficiary will give to the NVC so that all the billing and/or information will be sent to. There is a really good example of the email template here on VJ that you can use. Just remember to send it from the beneficiary's email address.

The I-864 form you can download from the uscis site and fill that out. You can take a black sharpie marker and print out your case number on top of the form once you find out what it is from the NVC.

The DS-230 form is the immigration visa application that you can help your SO to fill out. Just remember there are 2 sections

and he only sign the first part and the second part is signed in front of the consulate officer during the interview. What I did, was printed it out and helped my husband fill it out then mailed it to him and he mailed it back to me with his signatures on the first section. We had it completed by the time it was due at NVC.

2)Once we had our 2nd NOA showing that the I-130 was approved I told my husband to go ahead and get his police certificate, birth certificate, and military certificate translated and sent it all to me via USPS so I would have it all together once they asked for it at the NVC. Usually it takes at least a month to get through the NVC so that way the police certificate will still be viable when you send it to them. We had a 2 week delay at the NVC because of my husband not sending me his original birth certificate in arabic with the certified english version too so I had to wait to get it from him.

3) Cairo embassy is an appointment post embassy so the NVC will collect all the necessary paperwork and approve it and also schedule the interview for your SO.

This is a good website that can give you some insight on the NVC
