Multiple touches but no NOA2

My I-129F petition has been touched three times in the past four days but it still hasn't been approved. Did anyone else have this problem and then it ended up with getting an NOA2 shortly after? I am so worried about it and I am getting literally sick from thinking we might get an RFE. :(

Any ideas?

Unless you have reason to believe you might get an RFE, you probably won't. The people in the July 2009 group I was with for the K1 only got RFEs if they did not include enough information about the petitioners or beneficiaries divorce, which can be easy to misunderstand if the decree was issued in a foreign country.

Your timeline shows you are just barely over 2 months. Our NOA2 was issued on day 77 I think. It is probably coming soon, maybe the touches are them adding information to your file or doing FBI background checks on you? There is no way to know, but if they keeping working yur file you will find out something very soon.

Julian has never been married before, and I haven't either. I don't know why I'd get an RFE or why there would be a lot of FBI checking on me. I've never even had a traffic ticket! Thank you though, Jewel-8. I am really worried because I look at some of the other people who get RFEs and it looks like this pattern I have.

I'm sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. Who moved it? I thought organizers and moderators had to post who moved it and why.

They do! You could report it to a mod or Ewok if you like. As an organizer myself I hate it when others do this.

How do you know you're getting touches? Sorry, newbie in all of this...

Read the wiki http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Touch or use the search function.

Ditto. I always say it's me and why I did it. Big breach of organiser ettiquette. If you like, you can report it, or Muffin or I can mention it in the orgs forum. :)

 Good reason to check the mailbox! You will get NOA2 when it is approved. You will also get a letter saying it was either sent to or received by NVC. NVC is the agency that sorts through everything they receive and then send it on to the appropriate consulate.

A touch is the last updated date on your USCIS since the application was accepted and the check cashed. If you have updates after the first week, it probably means they are getting ready to make a decision. If you have updates in the first week, they are just moving the files.

We got two touches in a row but no update (and still not updated online 7 months later), but the touches turned out the be an approval because the snail mail approval was sent that day.

Usually the touches do mean that you're about to get your NOA2...but it's so odd to see them...I would be thinking, "What are you doing?!" One of the girls in the August group with me had something similar and started regarding them as pokes to annoy her and her fiance. Maybe by the end of next week you'll have it!
