AOS Interview & Last Name

Hello , my Vjer's

I have a concerning question, my USC wife wants to become a theology professor at a university after she is done getting her PHD, and does not want to take my last name as her because of it. Will this be a problem at our AOS interview?

Adjusting from F1 OPT :

14 April 2010 - Sent I-130,I-485,I-765

15 April 2010 - Delivered

15 April 2010 - Checks cashed

18 April 2010 - Touched (all forms)

21 April 2010 - 3 NOAs received

27 April 2010 - Biometrics letter for 05/14/10(walked in on 05/10/2010)

10 May 2010 - Walk-in biometrics done

10 May 2010 - RFE for I-864 & I-693

14 May 2010- sent in RFE request for i-864

21 May 2010- sent in RFE request for i-693

26 May 2010- received interview appt letter for June 30

30 June 2010 - AOS interview

No, it shouldn't. It's not uncommon for professional women in the US to keep their name after marriage. My husband is the non-US Citizen and we had our AOS approved quickly even though I didn't change my name.

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

BABY GIRL BORN JULY 2011!!!
