@J AND O I brought my DS 156, DS 157 and email confirmation to BDO. I told her that I was there to pay for the K-1 visa fee so I presented the papers and she glanced at them. I believe they do that to ensure that I'm paying for the right kind of visa.

The only forms she needs for the interview are:

1 DS 165K, 2 DS 156, 2 DS 157

Please tell her to paste her photo on the DS 156 because incomplete papers can be such a hassle during the day of the interview. I saw a lot of girls scrambling to fill up several forms since they opted for the DS 160 in stead.

Pay in Pesos! I made a mistake of paying in Dollars so I had to add more money. blink.gif

Good luck!

Toni

@CATHYlovesRICK You're fine. They don't stamp anything on the forms anyway. The lady just glanced at them. The important thing is that you have the blue receipt from BDO. You're going to submit that along with the DS forms at the Embassy.

Good luck!

Toni

Allow me to correct my previous post! It's 4am. lol.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SLMEC

-3pcs 2x2 pictures (white background)

-email confirmation letter (remember the manila case no.) OR appointment letter from the Embassy (If you decide to bring the latter, have it photocopied.)

-passport

-ballpen (Don't use a sign pen.)

Remember your fiance's information cuz you need to write that down in a form.

I was just suggesting that you arrange your DS forms into two sets for the interview. The only thing you need for the medical are the appointment letter (from the Embassy) or the email confirmation (which I brought), passport and 3pcs 2X2 pictures (white background). If you decide to bring the email confirmation, keep your manila case number in mind because they'll need it. Ignore the vendors outside. wink.gif The guard will hand you a form to fill up. There's a part there that says, "Do not write below this line" but ironically, you have to fill in the details. Don't worry, they'll put check marks on the ones you have to fill up. good.gif Read the post by Ninjones. I believe that it's pinned in the forum and I used it as reference. smile.gif

Good luck!

Toni

You will need the DS forms at the Embassy...not at SLMEC.

On a side note, I'm not sure if there are any forms to fill out after you arrive at SLMEC where you will need your fiancé's name, address, phone number, etc. Maybe you want to take that information with you..just in case. Maybe someone will chime in about this.

and thank you toni!!

i'll try to be as helpful as you guys after i'm done with the interview.. whew!! still got a few weeks to wait for that! :luv:
