With all of the confusion at the USEM and BDO over the DS-160, maybe it's best to fill out all of the forms just to be on the safe side.

thanks Tahoma!

i guess i'll be filling out the DS160 one of these days...

i already filled out the 3 forms (DS156, DS156K and DS157) and printed a lot of extra copies just in case.

i just need a photo first... coz it needs a 2x2 photo with white background to be uploaded...

some photo studios charge you if you ask for them to save it on a usb...

is it ok to paste it on the form? or is it MANDATORY to upload it in their system?

Aside from my appointment confirmation email (printed) and a 2x2 photo, what else should i bring at SLMCEC?

coz i can't find the link for the topic that tells us specifically on what to expect to bring.

coz the packet says one 2x2 photo when i remember some people telling me that they would ask for 2 photos at SLMCEC..

a clarification would be much appreciated!! thanks guys!!

Might as well just pay the "usb saving charge" cause you still need to scan your pic anyway(20pesos) for you to upload it in DS160..About SLMCEC,just brng your passport,2x2 id and your appointment or even without it as long as you know your MNL case#..

just out of curiosity... the appointment letter ur referring to... is that the one that was emailed to me?

or the letter that the embassy have yet to send me?

i know our mnl case number.. just curious about the letter.. since the email that i received doesn't have the MNL case number on it.

it's the appointment confirmation that we got after scheduling for an appointment for our interview.

yeah, your interview appointment, its ok if it doesnt contain your MNL case#.just memorize you mnl # or have it saved in your phone, you'll be needing it in filling up the data sheet in st.lukes..

Once the K1 applicants are called to line up, the guard will ask for one valid ID and the email confirmation.

Don't bother filling up the DS 160. Please paste your photo on the DS 156. A lot of K1 applicants were scrambling to fill up the DS 156, 156K and the DS 157 so even if they were the first ones there, I along with other people began the process before they did.

Prepare your DS forms and divide them into two sets. (Use a paper clip!)

-DS 156K, DS 157, DS 156

-DS 157 DS 156

You have to present the email confirmation as well. You will be given a number afterwards.

GOOD LUCK!

I just made an interview appointment yesterday for Olive and when I asked about filling out the DS260 for her K1 the lady I talked to said not to do the DS260. Olive has not yet went to BDO so I don't know if they will require the DS260 or not. She will probably be going there this next week so will have to wait and see.

hi toni! thanks for the info... however i'm confused... do u mean i'd have to bring those forms in SLMCEC?

i thought i'll be bringing those forms: DS156K (1 completed copy), DS156 (2 completed copies) and DS157 (2 completed copies) to the embassy. so if i bring those to the SLMCEC... this would mean that I'd have to bring another set of copies when i go to the USEM. is that correct? coz i wanted to know what i need to bring to SLMCEC first. coz as much as possible i don't want to bring the other important documents that are not necessary... so that there won't be any risk of me losing any of it. can you clarify this please? thanks toni! :)

You will need the DS forms at the Embassy...not at SLMEC.

On a side note, I'm not sure if there are any forms to fill out after you arrive at SLMEC where you will need your fiancé's name, address, phone number, etc. Maybe you want to take that information with you..just in case. Maybe someone will chime in about this.

I was just suggesting that you arrange your DS forms into two sets for the interview. The only thing you need for the medical are the appointment letter (from the Embassy) or the email confirmation (which I brought), passport and 3 ID pictures. If you decide to bring the email confirmation, keep your manila case number in mind because they'll need it. Ignore the vendors outside. wink.gif The guard will hand you a form to fill up. There's a part there that says, "Do not write below this line" but ironically, you have to fill in the details. Don't worry, they'll put check marks on the ones you have to fill up. good.gif Read the post by Ninjones. I believe that it's pinned in the forum and I used it as reference. smile.gif

Good luck!
