Hi Guys, i finally got my interview date for the 7th July at The london embassy ( Bring it on).... Just a question.. when taking my Birth, marriage divorce certificates, do i have to include my american fiancee's as well.

Also when (if) i get my visa, how long do i have before i need to get married and apply for AOS in the states.

Although the USC has submitted BC and divorce decree with the petition, the consulates typically request in their checklist that the original and copies be brought to the interview. They may request to see them, they may not. It would be in your best interest to have them in the event they ask to see them.

Once you receive your visa you have 6 months to enter the US (typical - always check the actual date of validity stamped on the visa).

Then once you enter the US you have 90 days to get married. It is recommended to file AOS within the 90 days but it is not techn ically required to do so. Again, it is in your best interest to do it as soon as possible after your marriage to avoid potential complications with ICE.

I took Simone's Original BC and a copy but they didn't ask for it. I go with being overprepared, just in case!

Yeah, no worries, mostly waiting around. Put a long review on VJ but basically got asked me about 8 questions - how we met, how long we've been together, when i proposed, where we'll be living, when i'm leaving, what work do I do here, if i'll be working out there, what will I do. I literally needed Passport, passport photos, Original BC + copy, Police Cert + copy & I-134 with tax returns, payslip & employer letter. Didn't want her BC or passport copies, or relationship evidence. Didn't want co-sponsor I-134 either. All good, got my visa on Wednesday.

Don't think that the UK consulate ever asks for original copies of the US citizen's stuff. They are only interested in the UK citizen and to ensure that the relationship is real. They are pretty easy on the questions. UK isn't considered to be a high fraud risk country I guess.

Hope that your interview goes well and I suggest that you also read the guides and the UK wiki as they have the answers to questions such as you had about the timeframe for marriage once you enter the US.
