Today is the start of the 6th business day since my husband's senator liason contacted USCIS to request an expedite of my son's I-130. (My I-130 expedite was approved on May 26th and took only 3 business days to be approved)

His I-130 was received at the CSC on June 14th, there was a touch on June 16th and since then, nothing.

Do you think this is unusual? My hubby is thinking of calling the military help line to inquire about it, I said maybe something got lost or misplace in regards to the request. What do y'all think?

Weeeeeeeeeee, got an email from the senator's office today - EXPEDITE approved for my son's I-130 application. Now it'll finally catch up to me at the NVC.

"June 25, 2010

Dear Mr. XXXXXXXXXXX,

In response to my inquiry on your behalf, I have been in contact with and received the following information from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The expedite request was approved and the I130 petition (WACXXXXXXXXXXX) has been assigned to an officer for adjudication. Your constituent should receive a notice of action* within 2-3 weeks.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

I hope you find the response from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to be helpful.

I appreciate your bringing this matter to my attention and giving me the opportunity to assist you in resolving this issue. Please feel free to contact my office in the future should you need assistance with another matter involving the federal government.

I think you should wait a bit, as yer 'posting time' is totally prior to 'office openings' across the USA.

Yer a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad girl - so for penance, you should cook savory pies all weekend long...

Seriously !!! Get's yer mind off this other BS.

If cooking pies is too much, suggest to yer USC Spouse to make new campaign contribution to yer US Senator's campaign fund, sometime soonish.

Just got the email from USCIS that my son's I-130 has been APPROVED!!

So his I-130 should be joining up to mine at the NVC very shortly! AND it's my birthday today sooo yipppee!!!

Congrats and Happy birthday. This surely must be a very good birthday present for you. Hope you get out of NVC very quickly.
