i am egyption i need help am married american woman since 2 years now and finaly i went to my interview 6/6/2010 in us embassy in cairo the counsl told me you need to proof of relationship with your wife and give me paper (any mails between me and her or money transfer pics everything between me and her i have to send in to the embassy

i need answer i sent the embassy all these stuff wut i spouse to do i need help from u please answer me cos i dont know anything about my stuff or how long i have to wait

They basically want proof that you have an on going relationship with your wife. Any pictures, emails, still shots of skype or yahoo chats. Letters, cards anything that will give them proof that your marriage is a bona fide relationship. Show receipts of hotels or vacations that you have taken with your wife, boarding passes of her coming to Egypt.

Married people in the US usually send each other card, they "talk" with each other, If they are employed, the spouse is listed on health insurance, They are on each others life insurance. They share bank accounts. You may not have all of these things but as many as you have you need to show to the embassy. Phone records, chat records, statements from accounts with both names. Has she change her last name and can she show that on bills ?

thanx alot for your advice but i wana u know i went as you know to the interview 6/6/2010 after that ask me get stuff and send it pic and stuff like that i did sent it in 12/6/2010 wut i have to do now my passport still in us embassy in cairo i paied for send by dhl to my house my question is how long i have to wait and wut i have expect from the embassy and if i wana ask about my stuff wut the contact numbers or emails and when i have to contact embassy i mean how long i have to wait befor i call the embassy please i need your experiance very important to me any way thank you very much for your advices its really very importnat to me

I'm not really sure how it works in Cairo, but every time I emailed embassy here in Croatia, I got a response from them in 1 or 2 business days... so you can try either calling or emailing them.

it's not over till it's over. Is no forecast for 'when it will be finished', at all.

HOWEVER - the USC Spouse can call the DOS HOTLINE (# in my profile), get a Human, and inquire for CASE STATUS. Suggest she do that twice a week until status changes.
