Hi all,

Received a letter today from the consulate general, here is what is says:

We do not process applications for fiancée visas unless you are a Canadian citizen, a landed immigrant in Canada, on employment authorization or are pursuing a full-time academic program of at least a year's duration. If you are in one of these categories, please provide evidence from a Canadian authority.

I sent them this email, with an attached photocopy of my work permit:

United States Consulate General

1095 W. Pender Street

Vancouver, BC Canada

V6E 2M6

06/25/2010

Case Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Name: xxxxxxxxxx

To whom it may concern,

I received a letter requesting evidence of authorized employment in Canada, attached is a copy of my Canadian Work Permit.

I am currently Employed at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

located at:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I understand that I may need to provide original documentation, and am willing to do so.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxxxxx

xxx@xxx.com

What I am wondering is, is the work permit what they mean by "work authorization", and is what I sent good enough?

Has me a bit worried.

Thanks!

Grime
