you will get a checklist letter about the police clearance - but

should only delay your case a bit, long enough for a

checklist letter to be generated.

Will not stop NVC processing , only hold it up.

ONCE YOU HAVE THE CHECKLIST LETTER IN HAND -

take it to the office in HKG, they will issue one to you -

but may or may not ONLY be sent to US Embassy / HKG / Immigration Visa Unit.

Or it's given to you in sealed envelope, to hand over on interview day.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Usually E-Mail

but - have yer USC spouse check in with NVC, be certain about the police certificate - tell them impossible to get without checklist letter. That phone call is important - or NVC might hold up the processing.

have USC SPOUSE (you are married to one, yes? ) call into NVC, explain about the missing police certificate.

This will speed up things a bit, if they KNOW IT's NOT COMING during NVC PROCESSING,

cause the Checklist letter to be issued SOONER.

What's up with yer USC Spouse?

my husband didn't call to NVC explain abt y we missing it,

coz my husband very busy for work and dnt even have to time to back home...

thats y my husband hiring a lawyer since we send out i-130, but when my case been in NVC, lawyer do nothing,

my husband received an e-mail from NVC asked for pay AOS & IV fee those 2 bills...

then my husband paid and NVC received...

but a lawyer still do nothing, just said we have to wait for NVC send us a mail...

after almost a month...we still receive nothing from NVC...

so i FORCE a lawyer to keep an eyes on my case...but still...

after that i even have to print out those two cover sheets and ready every doc and mail it to my husband,

when my husband received my mail, and give it to lawyer,

she just checked it if its correct and ask my husband to mail it back to NVC...(just only missing my polie check)

lawyer do nothing so...i just can check it by myself......

thats meant i should call tmr and tell them my police check missing, right?

NVC is open from like 7am-midnight. Have your husband call, best not to let anything get lost in translation ... best of luck. :star:

Sorry, have the husband call.

Seriously.

FWIW, NVC WILL TALK TO YOU, as well (you could call them now, in fact ) as you are the beneficiary, the VISA APPLICANT, and this document was missing from YOUR VISA APPLICATION (the ds-230 )

But I suggest to have the husband call.

We had the same issue here. My wife took the email from NVC confirming her choice of agent to the embassy in Jeddah and the embassy did issue her the police report request letter. So, you might want to consider trying that too.
