Do you get different information with the FOIA request then what you could with the Infopass appointment for 221(g) refusals? I have heard a mixed review on the FOIA, some say they are pointless and don't give you any info, and others say you should definitely do it. Whats everyones opinion or experience?

Thanks.

Monica :)

FOIA provides copies of documents, whatever documents are requested in the FOIA request..

Infopass gets you a sit down with someone who will tell you what they want to tell you... potentially not everything...

I requested a FOIA from both USCIS and DOS. I was very specific in what I wanted/needed. DOS told me they could not help me and USCIS, after a long wait, sent me a letter with the price for the copies. I sent the check and received a large packet. I was very excited until I opened it. It was simply a copy of EVERYTHING I SENT and nothing regarding the interview.

It may have been a simple error on their part, but FYI

I heard that happen to someone else also. Guess I will see what my Senator's office can get out of them...she's on top of it.
