My spouse has lived in different cities in different countries throughout her life including states for about 4 years but about 10 years ago. She has gotten the police certificates from all those places except for uk and states.

During the process of DS-230, NVC asked her to provide uk police certificate but didnt ask for states police certficate.

Can somebody advise us if we still need to get that states police certificate and hold on to it, in case if they ask during the interview?

Thanks for your response

btw She lived in states for about 4 years and departed about 10 years ago.

That sounds good if NVC themselves can get the police certificate internally. How about at the time of interview, will they be asking her to provide it?

dear mr.

there is no possibility at all that they can ask police certificate for the duration resided at USA. it is a rule that you need to get this certificate from all the countries except USA. it's a written rule you can search it on embassy website in the detail of police certificate details and packet 4 details

good luck

From Instructions for Immigrant Visa Applicants - Civil Documents:

Note: Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.
