It is possible....but as with many things, it is at the discretion of the particular embassy and each embassy approaches it as they choose.

Give them a call. If they ask why...tell them and see what they say.

Good luck!

:lol: ....yes I guess i should have said WHEN they ask why!!!!

It's like they haven't got a clue!

CO at embassy:

Why do you want to move your appointment?....Oh so you haven't seem your husband in 2 1/2 years......hmmmmmm....well that doesn't seem to be a valid enough reason to me...:whistle::bonk:

You might wish to think about what you want to say...and speak with your spouse so you both have the same reason...in case they ask him also!

I was able to move up the interview date. I asked them if there were situations where we could move up the interview date and was told, "sure, we try to accomodate the applicant's schedule, but we need to receive the applicant's file first." I then called and moved it by 11 days. I let the operator change it and did not suggest any particular date. I am sure that I could have moved it by a few more days... Good luck!! You dont need a specific reason. At least, not in Romania.

If you are at the NVC stage and all of your paperwork is properly completed with all the bills being paid, it should not take long.

Our case went thru NVC in a little over 3 weeks from the time they assigned us a number until we received the "sign in failed".

It is impossible to say exactly how long the process will take because the circumstances surrounding each application can be very different.

The NVC operators only give the answer they have been programmed to give so that people can not complain if it takes a long time!

Good luck on the process!

We will be praying for you.
