Just got this status update! :)

We had our interview yesterday and it went really well. We were lucky to get a very nice IO, she just asked about how we met and the wedding, looked at few pictures and bills, and stamped my I-485 without even taking any of the evidence I brought (and I had A LOT... took forever to assemble it together too, but I guess I'll get to use it for RoC)

We were particularly surprised because we had lots of problems with our case. We filed back in July 2009, got a interview notice for december but it got cancelled - it *seems* it was cause someone wrote a letter to USCIS saying that our marriage was fake - and we got a surprise ICE inspection a couple months ago. Considering what happened, we were expecting to be questioned a lot, maybe separately too... and instead it was such a easy interview. I'm guessing that the ICE report must've been very positive then! Now I feel like I got a lawyer for nothing, but better this way

As a side note, I had filed for my EAD renewal a few weeks ago. What happens to it now? Will it get automatically canceled or do I have to do something about it?

Congrats on your successful interview. I can't believe people can actually do that...writing a letter to USCIS about someone's marriage. Well, thank God everything went well for you guys. As per your EAD, you don't need it anymore, the green card is all you need now, as soon as it arrives, it replaces your EAD...guess you can just keep it.

The EAD may come in the mail because the USCIS is, after all, only a series of robots.

The GC cancells the need for both EAD & AP - it is good for both functions.

Congrazi!
