Why is it a separate issue?

Because as written, this is abhorrent. Obviously they agree, or else it wouldn't be being reworded. Giving condoms to elementary school kids without parents' knowledge and or consent is not acceptable, no matter the too-often used excuse of 'they're going to have sex anyways' as if that makes it all ok.

Again, as written, this shouldn't have gotten ONE vote, let alone unanimously passed.

Have any condoms been given out to elementary school kids?

Cman 6, you're too smart to play dumb with me. I think you're well aware of my issue here, as explained a zillion times.

If I have to write 'as it's written' one more time, or explain my problem with this one more time, I'm gonna puke.

You don't have to agree, but you won't change my mind either. ;)

If condoms were not routinely given out to elementary school kids as a direct result of this policy then there is no actual, tangible problem - other than the outrage factor about the wording of the policy (wording which is being changed) and how it was reported in the media.

Further, the fact that this policy exists at all (regardless of wording) does not mean that children at very young ages are going to be sexually active, or that they will be encouraged to be as a result of it.

Now that all the moral outrage has played its course, has anyone else stopped to consider if manufacturers even make condoms that are small enough to be used by the average elementary school aged child? My guess, without resorting to a google search is that they are simply not available, period.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Lol, yeah there is that!

Just call the school dist. and tell them where you get yours. Problem solved.
