NVC letter or USEM letter?

Hello guys, I am confused regarding the NVC letter and the USEM letter.

My fiance received a letter from the NVC stating:

"The state Department's National Visa Center has recently received an approved I-129f petition filed on behalf of yoyr fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place.

Name of Fiance

INS Receipt Number

Case number

Your fiance will soon receive a packet with instructions from the consular section on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post and what documents will be required. In the meantime, you should visit the Department of state's website to determine if the processing post has any information of which you should be immediately aware."

Question is:

* I called USEM this morning, the operator said that letter from NVC which my fiance received would be enough to make an appointment. Now, I am confused.

Is this the same as USEM letter?

What is the USEM letter that some of u guys referring to?

What letter do I need for the interview, the USEM letter or the NVC letter?

Thank you.

No, they are not the same. You and your fiancee should be getting a separate letter from the Manila embassy in a couple of weeks. It will give you a telephone number to schedule the interview and a link to the Embassy's web site so you can gather the required documentation.

If you don't want to wait for the USEM letter and you want to make an interview appointment now, call the USEM Call Center and use your MNL case number from the NVC. If they ask you if you have already received notification from the USEM, tell them "yes."
