It forgot to mention how under Bush the dow got up to over 15,000 as well. Let's ignore the 'facts' here.

The fact is that the DOW was over 10,000 when Bush came in and at about 7,500 when he left. That's a net loss of 25% over his term. If you want to talk about the high point and make that the significant value, then Bush actually presided over the DOW being cut in half from it's all time high. And that's a fact - one which you obviously rather ignore.

It didn't fall until after Democrats were put back into office after the '06 elections.

Was nice and high before then!

I dont see an Obama line!

Could be because the worst quarterly unemployment rate during the 8 years of Bush is better than the best quarterly unemployment rates during Obama's year and a half.

Its funny how people associate the market with specific terms. Its as if when a Congress or a President is elected they immediately start to control the market. The problems facing the US economy are not effected by someone's single term, it is instead caused by the policies spanning multiple decades and the balance of world power.

its just back & forth blame game BS. when bush was in office, everything was his fault according to people that hated him and or his policies. now obama is in office, so its his turn in the barrel.

The problem facing this economy is beyond a single act of the presidency, it's all based on Policy, look at the Policies that have been put into place

To drive the middle class below the proverty line.

I would like to see the data

How many JOBS NAFTA has created for the average middle class. Shipping American Jobs overseas, moving mfg plant to Canada or Mexico for cheaper labor

how has that benefited the average worker, beside the CEO and The TOP Level Execs getting big Bonuses because of Better ROI due to moving American Jobs

abroad.

2) How has outsourced helped the average american engineer?

I have my little brother and other kids who dropped out of computer sciences major because of concern about their future, getting a Job in the IT sector

sooner or later if you want a good IT Job you might have to move to Asia, and now wonder people are talking about the decline of sciences here, and

not enough students going in sciences

Isn't that shameful when you hear students talking about switching from engineering and computer sciences to Nursing, medical field, therapy, because

these jobs can't be outourced. even though in the medical field you are seeing the same pattern as in the IT sectors where there's a huge influx of nur

nurses from Asia mostly from the philippines.

Isn't it shameful when you are denied a job you are qualified for because YOU ARE A US CITIZEN OR A GREEN CARD HOLDER, but it's done right in your face

and there's nothing you can do about it with all the LEGAL JARGON GOING ON

" I am sorry to have told you about this Job offer, I didn't realized This (REQ) Job is reserved for an H1 client from Asia. I wish i had a recorder on me

but it's real cases

How can the Job market rebound, when you are working on a project and at the development stage itself you are getting words from upper management

DESIGN FOR OUTSOURCING, the engineering will be done here, then YOu have the Train the engineers they will bring from Asia and They will Do the Betha and

final production over there in ASIA.

How Can the Job Market rebound when your job is being outsourced and they are bringing in your replacement, and You have to train them to do your Job.

Please Can someone tell me from a financial point HOW CAN THESE MEASURES BENEFIT THE AVERAGE AMERICAN?

Gone but not Forgotten!

That's not the case for newcomers. We do have a nursing shortage in this country. Is there a shortage of IT workers as well that would merit hiring foreign IT employees?

"Yet, despite the American nursing shortage, so many Filipino health care workers—even those with promised jobs—are caught in an effective freeze on U.S. work visas -- there is a seven year waiting period for admittance to the U.S."
