YES !

DS 230 is handled during NVC processing.

You have up to 1 year, to get it into NVC.

Since this is a DIY Immigration Portal, you should review

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Good Luck !

Saudi Arabia will not issue a clearance unless specifically requested by the Riyadh Embassy.

The Riyadh Embassy will not issue that request letter unless the case file has arrived to them from NVC

So, for us at least we cannot submit the police report with the DS-230

Sure - there are exceptions. Yours is one of them.

There are others. Most hinge around 'Working in other country'.

yes - you should make sure that the PCCs are no older than 6 months to the interview date. its a little misleading that even though it says that the certs are valid 1 yr, chennai wants them to be no older than 6 months than the interview date.

Here in India we can just give the copy of the web page where it says PPC are required and that good enough for police, you can try that in Saudi and see if it works.

Another thing that your PCC are no longer then 6 months at time of interview is not controlled by you, but by NVC itself.
