Dear Guys,

Does anyone know which affidavit of support is needed for the Manila consulate? My bf and I are trying to gather all the documents needed for the affidavit of support. Just to make sure that he meets the financial requirement, he asked his FRIEND to be his co-sponsor. Is it true that the Manila Consulate ONLY requires or PREFER IMMEDIATE RELATIVES to be the co-sponsor?

The I-134 is used in Manila. Cosponsors are not generally accepted in Manila. They will need a fairly clear indication that any cosponsor will actually provide financial support which is more likely with a close family member.

There's no guarantee that they will accept a close family member as a cosponsor either.
