For those VJ who has/had their AOS Appointment Interview letter, is there anywhere in the letter states that you can reschedule the appointment date if you cant ablt to keep the said date.

My fiancee and I are planning to do to walk-in Biometric early than the appt on Jul 2. But if we do the walk-in Bio early, the AOS appt interview might fall within Jul 26- Aug 9 which I, US spouse, will be of the the country. But if we do the Bio on the appt date - Jul 2, based on others timeline, it might fall from 8/5 - 8/15, which the chance is I will be in the US.

Thanks in advance for your reply. :help::help:

you are going to wait for the interview letter and see what date is your interview

also usually the interview letter arrives 30-40 days after the biometrics letter and the interview 30 days for the past months even if you do a walk in biometrics its not speeding up the interview letter it does make the EAD card to arrive faster .

also you can make an infopass after your interview letter arrive and explain what's going on to an IO but if you do reschedule your interview they will make it you wait a lot more.

hope it helps

good luck

General advice is : DO NOT reschedule the interview. In any case, you are trying to guess when your interview letter will come, and sometimes it is unpredictable. They tend to send the interview letter approximately one month before the actual interview. Also, the letter can be sent between 2 weeks (my case) and 6 weeks (other VJers) after bio. I think even if you do an early walk in at this point, I doubt your interview will be before mid August. If you feel safer "postponing" biometrics, then go to your scheduled appointment on July 2nd.

Also, your file might still be transferred to CSC (California Service Center) and that usually means no interview!
