checklist before interview

Went to embassy to check the package arrived or not, the lady we talk took my passport to check she came with my papers.

my husband ask about the checklist, she said bring co sponsors 2009 tax return.my hus told that lady he(co sponsor) already attached 2008 and NVC accepted it. but she said we need to bring the copy of 2009 tax return on the day of interview.

glad we found this information before the interview.because the checklist nvc sent to us is not mentioning about this it only said employer letter and proof of country domicile

Since we are past the April 15th deadline for filing your tax, they would want to see your 2009 return...Don't forget the w-2.

4/19/2010 - NVC email confirming "Choice of Agent" email (~5 days)

4/20/2010 - NVC email with AOS and IV bill

4/23/2010 - AOS fee paid & package send

4/26/2010 - IV fee paid

5/21/2010 - IV pack mailed to NVC

5/28/2010 - NVC received IV packet

6/10/2010 - SIF & RFE (for PCC different for Sir Lanka)

6/11/2010 - CC (with RFE)

they did not even ask for our 2009 tax returns at our interview. but most people get asked for them i think.

Relationship Timeline:

07/19/2003 - Met here in the US and just clicked

05/2004 through 08/2009 - many trips back and forth by both of us, phone calls, care packages, etc.

02/14/2008 - Engaged (she was here in the US for Valentines Day so I figured make it official :))

11/21/2009 - Married with a few friends and some family in attendence.

CR1 Timeline:

01/12/2010 - I-130 Packet Sent

<interviening stuff deleted as signature is finite in length>

08/30/2010 - Interview completed, visa granted.

08/31/2010 - Visa in hand!

09/07/2010 - Arriving Seattle.

09/17/2010 - Received SSN.

10/01/2010 - Received green card.

Removal of Conditions:

06/06/2012 - Mailed I-751

06/12/2012 - Got back I-751 as "too early"

06/13/2012 - Re-mailed I-751

06/18/2012 - NOA1

07/13/2012 - Biometrics Appointment letter received (scheduled for 08/06/2012)

08/06/2012 - Biometrics completed.

Just be sure to have a copy at the interview to be safe!! they will probably ask for it. :thumbs:
