Hi and nice to meet you!

(F)

We are planning to visit the USA for a few months while my husband finishes off his book. We would like to bring our campervan, but were wondering what would happen to our van if we decided to adjust our status to another non immigrant visa while we were there?

I have tried to look for this information but just can't seem to find anything relevant. I would really like to know if we can adjust the status of our vehicle, like we would for ourselves.

Any help is really appreciated, thank you. You seem like a really helpful and friendly bunch. x

Thanks very much Trailmix!

We have decided that the best route then would to permanently import our camper and some household goods while we find a little holiday place to buy. Then if we decided to adjust to another non immigrant visa such as E2 we would then at least be there to meet our stuff.

I think our camper will be exempt then from most of the regulations as it was built in '78.

I presume we can bring a few bits of furniture in to furnish the place.... and anyway, camping is much more fun in the US B-) (not as much rain!).

x
