I am filling out my I-134 for my fiancee in China as my I-129F was recently approved. I see form other posts on Question 11 that the generic "N/A (K1 visa process for permanent residence)" is recommended. I also know that the answer to this question can be consulate specific. So I ask anyone with experience with the consulates In China, will the "N/A (K1 visa process for permanent residence)" answer satisfy the American consulates in China. Or is some other statement recommended for China? Thanks for your help.

I've seen the example you use above succeed frequently in Guangzhou. However, I've never seen any problem anywhere when answering, yes and indicating something to the effect of, "I will support the beneficiary fully as my fiancee and then spouse." Take you pick.

To me, "never" sounds more assuring then "frequently," so I will answer questions 11 with, "Yes" and "I will support the beneficiary fully as my fiancee and then spouse." Thank you very much for you reply. I am beginning to feel much better about this form.

I don't know why I can't edit my post, but anyway, I've decided to morph the two statements to look like this: "I will support the beneficiary fully as my fiancee and then spouse. This is K1 visa process for permanent residence."

This form is also used when they are processing tourist visas and other types. I think most officers would implicitly understand that you would support your fiancee/spouse indefinitely -- even at Guangzhou, unless you specified otherwise.

I think either answer is fine (I used the recommended text in your original post, and it was fine).

It usually is fine. The other method always is. I, like the OP, tend to choose always over usually, when all else is equal.
