We are in India right now getting ready for my wifes interview which is in Chennai on July 22. If there is anyone who has gone through the interview as a spouse please let us know what type of questions they asked you. I know that there is no certain way to know what questions they will ask but it can't hurt to get an idea.

Reviews, this is for US Embassy in India, people generally post their interview experience, along with the types of questions asked.

Hope this helps!

In addition to searching through the reviews for the Indian consulate, I would also search the forums for example questions. I am not sure if you will find much information specifically about India, but you can get and idea of what type of questions are asked in general at the interviews-some consulates ask many questions and some ask few, but you will at least be able to see a list of questions that are likely to be asked.

Also, there is this general guide.

hi, my wife just had her interview on june 10th and visa approved (and just got back to US on Friday!). we've posted a detailed review. chennai is pretty easy and laid back, so I wouldnt worry about it (Delhi and Mumbai are much tougher, esp. Delhi), although easier said than done. there are a couple of CO - one is an east asian lady and there's another chubby white officer. my wife got the chubby white officer who was very nice. the e.asian lady is also nice, but my wife said that she was much more grilling. bw, one hint about the PCCs - make sure the PCC from the regional passport office is within 6 months of the interview date. they're sticklers for that...

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni

It's good to know that they're pretty laid back. Are PCC is definitely within six months. In fact I'm still waiting for them to finish mine in Vizag, hopeful they hurried it up. I actually had to reschedule my interview date because the PCC wasn't ready yet. Before we were schedule for June 28th now the 22nd of July.
