PCC requirement for Indians consulates

Help pls!

Chennai Consulate website talks about PCC a lil differently from New Delhi and Mumbai consulate websites. While delhi and mumbai one says, "passport was issued more than 6 months prior to visa application and beneficiary is 16 years old or older, obtain PCC from 1. Passport office

2. The district police office serving the applicant's place of residence"

chennai one say - "Each visa applicant over the age of 16 must present original police certificates. Police certificates must cover the entire period of the applicant's residence in any area."

I was in

Kerala from dob to 2003.

From 2003 Aug-2007 March in Bangalore.

From 2007 March mid to 2007 Dec - Out of country in Dubai.

From 2008 Jan to 'PRESENT' in Bangalore again.

I know, i do not need PCC for dubai since it was <12 months. What about other PCCs? Do I need two PCC for bangalore for the different period of stay and one PCC from kerala? I have been staying at my current residence from May 2008 to "PRESENT" and thats all I mentioned when i applied for PCC and so, thats all what the Bangalore PCC will say too.

What can i do?

What can i do?

Hi there, you can relax - you only need a PCC from Bangalore. depending on when your passport was issued (ie less than 6 months ago, then you ONLY need it from the Bangalore passport office). If > 6 months, then from the Banglore passport office AND your local Bangalore police station. my wife who got her visa is also from bangalore and went thru the same process. just make sure your PCC (esp. passport office PCC) is within 6 months of your interview date. hoep this helps
