Different details in I130 and DS230

I realized a potential prob with my application.. My USC spouse and in-laws filled out i130 form and while doing it, they did not mention my 10 months of foreign stay in 2007. Neither they mentioned that i was working in another city for last 4 years. This city is different from my permanent home address that they mentioned.

Now while filling up ds-230, how do i go about? There will be an obvious mismatch between the I130 details and DS-230. What you think they are gonna do to us? Any way out?

Keep in mind that you (or your spouse) can always call NVC (603-334-0700) and speak to a real person and ask them how you should address the data mismatch between the I-130 and the DS-230.

Meanwhile I would complete the DS-230 with all factual information and pending the results of the phone call, submit it with any additional evidence that they would ask for (this would likely be a clarifying letter, perhaps in the form of an affidavit [a sworn statement]) to bring everything up to date.

05/2004 through 08/2009 - many trips back and forth by both of us, phone calls, care packages, etc.

02/14/2008 - Engaged (she was here in the US for Valentines Day so I figured make it official :))

09/17/2010 - Received SSN.

10/01/2010 - Received green card.

Removal of Conditions:

06/06/2012 - Mailed I-751

06/12/2012 - Got back I-751 as "too early"

06/13/2012 - Re-mailed I-751

06/18/2012 - NOA1

07/13/2012 - Biometrics Appointment letter received (scheduled for 08/06/2012)

08/06/2012 - Biometrics completed.

if you happen to get any RFEs (which maybe you won't?) you can just explain the problems to a supervisor.

or you can attach a note with your documents that you send in???

^^ Agree. Complete the DS-230 accurately, deal with any RFEs ...if they come up...and any discrepancies between the I-130 and DS-230 can be explained at the interview. Good luck!
