Overstayed Tourist Visa by a couple of days

I have a friend who has overstayed her tourist visa by a couple of days, due to a problem getting on a flight back to the Philippines. She has a relative that works for the airline, so she can get a free ticket, but the last few days the planes have been booked. She is pretty worried about it, although it's just a couple of days.

Is this going to be a huge problem? What can she do to minimize any trouble to be able to return to the US to visit her relatives?

Thanks for your help. :)

She will need a new B2 Visa.

I concur.

And bring tones of evidence for your delayed flight, otherwise the chances of approval will be minimal.

Need for new b2 visa? So does she have to go back to philippines right away and go to the embassy there and report her case? Is there any assurance that the consulte will consider booking problem and grant her new visa?

Not right away, when she next considers visiting the US. The longer the gap the better.

She plans to come visit US again on oct this year coz the IO in the POE gave her only 30days when she got here last May 18. So, if ever she leaves US in a couple of days from today, that would make her 4days overstay, is her status to be granted new B2 still good? What about the POE, what if they hinder her from coming back again due to that days overstay? It could happen right?

The normal entry for a B is 6 months, they obviously had suspicions so limited the stay to 30 days.

Having abused that the chances of another Visa is small, very small. And then there is the POE again.
