Hello fellow members,

Just need your clarification with regards to my kid's visa. They were granted an IR2 Visa and at the top right hand corner of their visa it says "IMMIGRANT VISA".

Here are my questions;

The kid's visa below the annotation it says" Upon Endorsement serve as Temporary I-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence for 1 year.

1) What Does it Mean?

2. They were granted IR2 visa..does my kids needs to adjust their status and remove the condition of their status once they are here?

I just need clarification because as far as I understand my kid's will get a 10 yr. green card after they get here and not do anymore paper works? am i right?

Please i need your help on this. Thank you very much.

It means that upon entry they were/will be provided a temporary stamp that acts as a interim greencard until the physical card arrives in the mail. No adjustment of status required because they are already residents at entry
