What ID does a K1 have? A foreign driving license and a passport? Lots of illegals have those.

i guess i give cops more credit than you do. if someone has no DL, has no GC, can't speak english, can't provide name of USC fiance or husband (in case of K1) and when asked doesn't know basic things about america or in this case, let's say AZ, they'll likely suspect the person is illegal.

if an illegal has been here a long time, i suspect many be able to fool cops into thinking they are legal <-- these situation won't make it to the 5 o'clock news but when cops mess up just a little, it will be on the 5 o'clock news. i think beat cops and their leadership will be very careful when enforcing the new law. still, no matter, the media will get the story they are dreaming about now... the one in which a legal immigrant was detained. no doubt, this will happen. what's shameful is that these days i'm not sure i will believe the media's version over the cops version of events which lead to the detainment.

That's the ironic thing isn't it. Even without this law driving without license still gives the police the power to arrest someone. However, if we are talking about a passenger they legally don't have to show ID and the language they speak goes under profiling which is strictly forbidden under SB1070.
