hi,

I have one more question (how many, I know!).

I have already been admitted to a MBA program in the US and I will start in August. Is it a problem that I will migrate with a green card and instead of working I will be studying? May that represent a problem?

Sorry, not quite clear on your situation.. Do you already have a GC ?

Or do you have a student visa but planning on applying for AOS to get GC once you are here?

If it is the 1st case, then you can come here and do whichever you wish, work or study or both.

If it is the 2nd case, and they suspect that you have intention to immigrate, then yes, that might cause a problem.

Sorry, I explain better.

I and my wife decided to go to the US this year after she finished her master's degree here in italy. So I applied to my master's degree in the USA and got accepted. Now she has just left for the USA. I will follow suit and afterwards start university. My question is: does the SUCIS or the consulate care that I will study and not work?

I don't think they care either way, since you are applying for a spousal/immigrant visa.

When I sponsored my husband, nobody ever asked us. They might ask what you intend to do, but saying that you will study is a fine answer. Especially since you have a sponsor.

It would be really unrealistic of them to expect that everyone has a job from day one. In other words, don't worry about it. :)

With sponsor you mean a joint-sponsor right? because aside for my wife, we have a joint-sponsor for the I-864.
