Couple of Quick Questions

Hello everyone,

Well my wife's mom has her interview setup on July 13th at the Naples Consulate, so me an my wife are planning to be there with her when she comes in. My Question is does anyone know if everything goes well do they usually give her the visa the same day or does she needs to come back ? we are hoping to bring her to the US with us after the interview so I need to plan for the tickets and such.

If your mom in law's case is approved, the issuance of the visa varies from consulate to consulate. Some will offer it after one business day (24hrs) while others take up to a week to issue the visa.

It is perhaps a good idea to call or write the embassy in Naples and ask them what their issuance policy is for the type of visa you're applying for.

They also advice that you do not make irreversible travel arrangements before you have the visa in hand. While I'm sure your MIL will encounter no problems whatever, you never know what can happen so better to be safe than sorry!
