If I am living with my mother, who is the owner of the house, would she fill an I-864 or I-864A? Does ownership of the house have any affect on which form she would fill out? Thanks!

I think it has more to do with the fact that you are living in the same household... and that she should fill out form I-864A because of that. My husband lives with his father and he had him fill out the I-864A, but neither one of then owns the place, they are renting it, so I suggest you check that with older members on here just to be sure. Your mother fills out an 864A. You fill out the 864 (regardless of income - even $0/year).

Follow the instructions on your 864, it will tell you where to add her numbers and how to do all the math to come up with the final household size and household income.

Ownership of the house does not factor into the 864/864A issue, only when income is insufficient and assets (such as a house worth more than the mortgage against it) come into play.

if you live in the same household they fill out A, for the household memeber.

the instructions for the regular and A have a specific listing for how to do it. the qualifications.

read them carefully and see if she qualifies for A or not.
