Hi Everyone,

My parents finally received the interview notice scheduled for the next week. Does any one know about the possible interview questions? Is it possible that the green card application for the parents of a US citizen is turned down at the interview? What could possibly go wrong? I am very nervous. Please advice.

Thank You

If it weren't possible then there would be no need for an interview.

More information is needed - please could you include your timeline and origin? So that information specific to your case can be given.

I can only give information for parents living in the UK - according to my own experience.

Are they from Manila? How long does it take from filing to interview?

They are not from Manila. If you file everything in order, and as soon as you recieve it will only take one year(may be even less). Mine took 1.5 year because the embassy at Abu dhabi was busy. Good luck!

AP/AR then could be the issue.

What is AP/AR?

Additional Processing, Administrative Review.

Particularly for males from Muslim countries.

That is exactly what they told my fathre!!! They gave him a letter, and asked him to check his application number on the embassy's website. Whenever the number is there, he should go to the embassy again. What is this about? background check? if so, does this mean if the background check comes back and everything is ok, they will issue him the visa?
