Hello My wife came into the country in May on the CR1. She waited for a while but we didnt get the green card, so she left for dubai to wrap everything up before coming back next month for good. I dont want to mail her the green card. Will she have any problem reentering the country without the green card? she has her SSN card on her. Any help will be much appreciated.

didn't you get something in your passport?

if you did not get anything after she arrived you probably should have contacted whatever department was in charge or that and made sure she had her GC before she left the country.

your wife passport would have been stamped on POE, so that serves as a temporary green card.Its valid for one year. she'll be fine no worries :star:

The visa your wife has is I-551 which serves as a temporary greencard good for 1 year after received.

10/05/09: Received case# and gave emails

10/07/09: Received DS-3032 and AOS email

10/09/09: Sent DS-3032 email to optin electronic filing

10/15/09: Paid both AOS & IV fees

10/16/09: Received email electronic filing accepted

10/18/09: Sent AOS via email

10/23/09: Received email that AOS was accepted and waiting for IV
