Me and my fiance are excited about our NOA2!! We were wondering what kind of questions they ask during the interview. Should I make some flash cards for her?? LOL. Just curious. If anyone could remember any questions they were asked then that would be great...

I know a lady who married her long time bf when his visa was about to expire and during the interview after being married for two years they asked them questions like: "What colors is her toothbrush?" "What side of the bed do you sleep on?" I thought that was great!! lol... but what happens if you really don't pay attention? OMG... what if you're color blind?!?!

Try searching for reviews on interviews held at the embassy where she'll have the interview. Generally, reviewers post the questions asked. :) Good luck!

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

My fiance just had his interview in Dublin................they asked :

when/how we met

when we are getting married

that was it-BUT every embassy is different. Check out the "guides" here on vj-you will see some sample questions.

We were told you'd be asked "trick" questions like that too, but it didn't happen.

They asked the standard questions about the circumstances of how we met, where we met, family members, jobs, etc.

So, don't panic.... it's a very straight-forward interview.

Good luck.

Thanks guys! I read the review for Japan... it doesn't seem bad at all. Hahaha... my fiance is on VJ all day long reading everything you guys post and she's getting more and more exicted. I'm glad that we can all come together here to keep each other informed so it doesn't feel like we're doing this all on our own.

I attended my fiance's K1 interview in Tokyo 2 weeks ago. They asked my fiance 4 questions.

1. "How did you meet ?"

2. "How long have you known each other ?"

3. "Where does your fiance work"

4. "What does your fiance do for a living"

The asked my soon to be step daughter 2 questions.

1. "How do you feel about going to the US ?"

2. "What do you call your soon to be step father"

A couple of key observations:

I can't stress enough how valuable it was for me, the petitioner to attend the interview. The consulor welcomed me an realy took it easy on my fiance. My fiance and I came prepared with a 3" binder full of supporting documentation and evidence of our ongoing relationship. My fiance was not asked to show any evidence at all. While the interview is in progress the petitioner must step back from the interviewing window but can be seated directly behind the interviewing fiance about 6 feet. From this position you can clearly hear all the questions and responses. You can also observe the body language of the consulor as each question is being answered. The best advantage is that you get immediate real time knowledge of the interview outcome.
