The Mexican government is very nationalistic and unlikely to openly allow UAVs to buzz around Mexico and American troops on their soil in large numbers is out of the question for a nation has seen its share of American intervention in the past.

Thank you for saving me the trouble.

The US doesn't have enough clerics, but plenty of mages with magic missiles?

Don't worry, guys. I bought Phoenix Down and Hi-Potion from the last villiage. We can revived them and then restore their HP.

US military deaths since the Iraq War began 7 years and 3 months ago: Death Toll as of June 15, 2010 = 4,406 US Servicemen

Lives claimed from the Mexican Drug War since 'the end' of 2006: over 23,000 lives in 3 and a half years

By the numbers (my calculations which are approximate):

US military deaths from Iraq War per year (4,406 / 7.25 years) = 608 deaths per year (equivalent to 51 deaths per month or 1.67 deaths per day)

Deaths from Mexican Drug War per year (23,000 / 3.5 years) = 6,571 deaths per year (equivalent to 548 deaths per month or 18 per day)

False comparison unless you can show the 23,000 killed in Mexico were all either cops or soldiers since you only count U.S. servicemen (and female soldiers). You excluded Iraqi civilians and Iraqi police and Iraqi soldiers.

Iraq has been worse no matter no matter how you slice it. . .

Source Iraqi casualties March 2003 to...

Iraq Family Health Survey 151,000 violent deaths. June 2006

Lancet survey 601,027 violent deaths out of 654,965 excess deaths. June 2006

Opinion Research Business survey 1,033,000 violent deaths as a result of the conflict. August 2007

Associated Press 110,600 violent deaths April 2009

Iraq Body Count 95,888 – 104,595 violent civilian deaths as a result of the conflict. April 2010

Think about it. Would you be rather be tourist in Mexico or Iraq?
