Anyone know where I might look to find employment (even part-time) for my fiancee while we are waiting for an interview date and visa? She lives in Cabanatuan City (Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon). Unfortunately, she did not finish her last year of high school and has no degree or certifications. She would really like to do something for the last few months to help out with the expenses and occupy her time. We're both going crazy with all the waiting!

If you are from the area and have ideas, please let me know. Or, if you know of a good web-link, please post it.

Now, back to wishing all of you March NOA1s and recalls who are still waiting the best of luck on getting your approvals soon!

Dave

The employment opportunities aren't to good outside of Manila. My fiancee has a 2 year degree. Best she would be able to find in her area would be a full time job that pays around 7500 PH per month. Average work week 60 hours. I decided 150 bucks a month wasn't really worth not being able to chat with her every night.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Hi Dave,

I have some good connections with the owner of the NE Pacific Mall and the NE Bakeshop. She might be interested to take a part-time job with them. She may call me at phil cellfone 09184128538. I hope to be of some help.

Cool that you're from the same area. Uncool that it's so hard to find work.

Good luck on your approval.
