Hi, we just started filling out the I-751 form for my wife and on page one they ask: Country of Birth and Country of Citizenship.

Ok, is Country of Citizenship meaning where my wife now resides?(which is here in the US) or does it mean her native land where she is from? Thanks,

It's the country which issued her passport (I presume in your case its Colombia)

Don't confuse it with country of residence (i.e US)

I assume you did your I751 already so i won't ask "are you sure about this'? lol Yes She has a Colombian passport so she is still a citizen of Colombia right.

Yep, remember that she is a conditional resident (conditionally living), not a citizen. So until she becomes a citizen of the US or another country, it'll remain colombia

A word of caution!!!!

Be very careful about saying US for country of citizenship... this could hinder her entire application as well as LPR status. If she is claiming to be a citizen of the US on any legal document then she is violating the US residency. If you fast forward to naturalization, they do ask if you have ever claimed to be a US citizen or not.... that's when you will hit a wall greater than the wall of China....

They ask this because it is possible to be born in one country (for example, Japan) and be a citizen of another (like the US, by having a US parent).
