Hi all! Just wanted to get some information for those who are already in the pre-interview stages of their K1 process. I was wondering if there is a certain timeframe (days/months) in which the Bank Statement & Letter from Employer documents for the I-134 should be dated to be sufficient enough for the USEM Visa interview. How close to the interview time should the docs be dated? I know I'll have to provide a few monthly paystubs around that time but I'm more concerned about these two in particular. Thanks again for all the continued support!

What is the exact date of the interview? Make at least within 30 days of it. I suggest even closer if possible. I had got my letters, pay records, etc done right after being notified that the NVC shipped our case to the foreign embassy before I knew the interview date. Once I received the interview date got all the documents again. They were dated no more than 1 week before the interview. Since I had to be at the interview got everything done before flying to my fiancées country.

If you are not attending the interview, get everything done as close as possible (estimate how long it will take to mail everything).

I only just received my NOA1, but am leaving for a 2 month trip to visit my fiance in a few days. I thought I would bring everything he would need from me via the I-134, including statements from my bank and employer. Seeing as we probably won't get our NAO2 until August/September and all my documents are dated June, should I get the same documents redone closer to our NOA2 date?

05 July 05 - Met in New Orleans, Louisiana

03 Jun 10 - I-129F sent

09 Jun 10 - NOA1 received

17 Jun 10 - Touched

19 July 10 - NOA2

02 Aug 10 - Received Packet 3

17 Oct 10 - Received Packet 4

02 Nov 10 - Interview *APPROVED*

11 Nov 10 - Visa Received

14 Dec 10 - POE LAX then onto New Orleans

14 Feb 11 - Married

05 May 11 - AOS RFE

If you are not going to attend the interview, then take the documents to her when you go visit (like u already have planned). But if you are going to the interview get the dates as close to the interview date as possible.
